Capecite Tablets are chemotherapy drugs that are prescribed for treatment of gastric, breast, & colorectal cancers. They are known to work by inhibiting thymidine monophosphate synthesis that is required for de novo DNA synthesis. Upon ingestion, active compound capecitabine of these tablets gets metabolized in form of 5-FU which is an inhibitor of thymidylate synthase. Capecite Tablets gets metabolized in liver having elimination half life of 38 to 45 minutes.
